This pre-programmed ESP32 DevKitC module is the plug-in controller used in the 4 Axis Do-it-Yourself DRO Kit (TDK-40). It comes with the same TouchDRO Plus firmware we ship with current TDK-40 kits, so it drops straight into a kit motherboard or a compatible DIY carrier board and works just like the original module.


Firmware and features

All modules are shipped with TouchDRO V3 Plus firmware pre-installed, providing:

  • Support for up to 4 quadrature encoder inputs (optical and magnetic DRO scales, via a suitable carrier/mainboard)
  • Access to the TouchDRO Plus Android application
  • Support for Mitutoyo SPC and BIN6 digital data protocols (requires appropriate inout conversion circuit)

Supported DRO Scales

The adapters support DRO scales and rotary encoders that output 5V quadrature signal. This includes:

  • Majority of modern optical, magnetic, and inductive scales. Learn more
  • Mitutoyo DigiMatic scales with SPC output  - with SIC-5V-MIT-A input converter (sold separately) or appropriate custom input circuit
  • iGaging Absolute DRO Plus scales  - with SIC-3V3-IG-A input converter (sold separately) or an appropriate custom input circuit
